Batman 1969 (2009)

Batman 1969, to feature Batman and Inspector Erskine.

Catwoman a protagonist in hybrid comics/TV fan film

Timothy Forbes began writing the script to Batman 1969 at the end of 2005 as a tribute to two ABC television series and to a comic book. This two-hour TV movie not only pays homage to the 1966 Batman series, but also to The FBI (1965-74) and to the current Catwoman comic. It also will reflect the Batman comic, as it was in 1969.

Robin has gone off to university, and Scarecrow is involved in a crime. It becomes part of a much larger crisis within Gotham City, and you'll have to watch this film to find out!

And because this is a Cat site, expect Catwoman as a protagonist here. Anyone expecting a clone of the 1966 Batman series will be disappointed. However, this "alternate take" is just that: A "Just Imagine" production. Production values will likely be more like Quinn Martin's than William Dozier's, and this will be a more serious rendition like the first season.

The fan film has a site of its own. Just click on the image above.
