Batman 1969: Beyond the film

One idea we want to see planned is a fan series, Carrie's World, exploring the relationships between the Carrie Kelley Robin, the Caped Crusader and the Feline Fatale.

Only one live-action Gotham-based TV series has aired since 1968, Birds of Prey, and that series was cancelled after only one season. While this series would be in the same serious vein as Batman 1969, Carrie's World will follow a different visual style, something more like real life.

We are planning to use many comic book figures in this fan series, such as members of the Birds of Prey and Green Arrow, as well as other television heroes, such as Inspector Lew Erskine and his cronies from The FBI, as well as The Green Hornet.

One thing to take note of: Expect exploration of the lives of Carrie Kelley, Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle, not just of Batman and Catwoman. Action and violence may be de-emphasized here in favour of human moments and exploration of personas. And even when Batman and Catwoman are on the job, expect to see more detective work.
